Julian is a composer, pianist, arranger, orchestrator, conductor and educator based in American Canyon. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto in Music Theory and Composition under the tutelage of Eliot Britton and Alexander Rapoport.

 

Initially a pianist, Julian’s passion for music sprouted since picking up the instrument at the age of five. His exploration within music led him to begin composing, then to his current work. He coaches the pianist in the Napa Valley Youth Symphony, and privately teaches in the Napa and Solano County areas. Julian continues to serve as a pianist in the community at Justin-Siena High School as their piano accompanist and Bass/Baritone/Tenor vocal coach, as well as an accompanist for the American Canyon Middle School and High School Choirs.

 

As a composer, Julian’s instrumental compositions and arrangements have been performed by the Napa Valley Youth Symphony, and surrounding schools in Solano County. His compositions also reach out to the world of game soundtracks and film scoring, in which he has been acclaimed with awards including one for Best Original Score by the Washington Film Awards in 2023.
